Weekly Writing Assignment #6 FAIL
It appears that people may have misunderstood the instructions for this week’s writing assignment. Every entry Weekly Writing Assignment received was a narrative. The instructions said, “Write 20 first lines. Make them progressively more interesting.”
Apparently, people took this to mean write a narrative that is only 20 lines long.
What I probably should have written was “Write 20 different first lines.”
Let the lesson be learned, both for myself and anyone else. We write to clarify. Clearly, I failed to do that in this case, and for this I apologize.
So, unfortunately, I cannot name any Weekly Finalists or a Weekly Winner this week as no one followed the instructions. But fear not! another Weekly Writing Assignment is on its way! I swear, it’ll be fun!

Oh but do it again! I meant to submit something, but ended up too busy last week to write anything other than my SPARK story. I love first lines!
