Finalists and winners for both the last two assignments are coming, as is the Monthly Winner for August.

Your assignment this week is to write a short narrative about someone who is trapped. It can be a physical entrapment, a mental entrapment or an emotional entrapment. Help us, the readers, understand what that feels like.

For last week’s assignment (Random Words: Urban Dictionary Edition), only two people submitted entries. Sadly, this does not a writing contest make.
However, both entries were fun and entertaining. So both entries are Finalists!

Yo man, I’m totally down and out. Nothing is going right, and everybody keeps calling me a fag.

I can’t say that Shannon’s very smart, but she’s a decider. Once she’s on a course of action, nothing will stop her, and when she’s done, when she’s down and out, when I swoop in and rescue her yet again, I always say, “Shannon, you’re an uber pain in the ass. I’m tired of cleaning up your messes.” And she always replies, “Yeah, I know, I should’ve listened to you last week.”
