Your assignment this week is to write a short narrative about someone who is trapped. It can be a physical entrapment, a mental entrapment or an emotional entrapment. Help us, the readers, understand what that feels like.

This week, your assignment is to write a dialogue between two or more people having an argument. You may include small descriptions of the characters’ body language, since non-verbal communication is as much a part of an argument as what is actually said. The characters can be any relation: spouses, parents, children, parents and their children, parents and other people’s children, coworkers, a boss and an employee, a bus driver and a bus rider, complete strangers, etc.

Due to the fact that this has been a holiday weekend (at least, here in the States), Weekly Writing Assignment is offering a small, single day extension for Writing Assignment #7: Random Words Urban Dictionary Edition.

Entries are now due by midnight on Tuesday, September 8, 2009.

The Urban Dictionary is one of the most fun websites I have ever visited. This week, we’re doing another random word challenge, but this time using words strictly taken from the Urban Dictionary.

It appears that people may have misunderstood the instructions for this week’s writing assignment. Every entry Weekly Writing Assignment received was a narrative. The instructions said, “Write 20 first lines. Make them progressively more interesting.”
